The Five Disconnects That Leak Revenue
Most brand problems are not visible from the boardroom. They live in the gaps between what a company says, believes, and actually delivers.
Revenue rarely leaks from one big mistake. It leaks from small, persistent gaps that leadership cannot see from where it sits. In every engagement we start by looking for five disconnects.
First, the gap between what the company says it is and what leaders actually believe and model day to day. Second, the gap between what leaders believe and what employees experience on the ground. Third, the gap between what employees experience and what customers experience. Fourth, the gap between what customers experience and what the market and AI systems understand about the company. And fifth, the gap between all of that and what the brand claims in public.
Each gap is a place where trust breaks down. Customers feel the inconsistency even when they cannot name it, and inconsistency is what sends them to a competitor who feels more coherent.
Closing these disconnects is an operating exercise. It changes how decisions get made, how people are managed, and how the company shows up at every touchpoint. When the five align, the brand stops being a layer on top of the business and becomes the business itself.
